This 3000 sqft. house sits in the busy side of the city where a serene abode was asked to be created by the client. Their only requirement was to make it feel "CALMER" and should reflect their authentic roots.

We came up with the concept of a Color contrast with Back and white for the Master Suite and a terracotta pop for the Common space. Which resembles the Spanish walkways and the terracotta shade represents the floor of their ancestral home.

A careful mix of Contemporary colloquial was conceptualized for the space. The colors were used to compliment the fresh Teak shade with rattan pendant lamps.

A serene corner vignette showcases a layered play of earthy textures and soft natural light. The rust-toned wall acts as a warm backdrop, grounding the composition, while the wooden console brings in a rustic touch. Thoughtfully styled elements—a ceramic vase, delicate stems, and a framed artwork—add subtle charm without clutter.

The focus was on using fewer, meaningful objects that speak to the personality of the homeowner.

A closer look at a curated Green bookshelf that balances function and poetry. The asymmetric shelving breaks the rigidity often seen in storage units, and the tonal palette—woods, creams, and a whisper of green—brings visual calm. Here, jute shutters were used to add character to an otherwise monotoned 10 feet long visual unit. And to honor the columns in the Master Suite - we procured wooden legs with a gold finished skirting - inverted them and fixed to the bookshelf to give it a mini column appearance.

The same approach is reflected on the ceiling of the seated lounge space - where a warm sunset effect is created by adding jute frames on the ceiling which lets the light pass through thus deviating form the traditional approach of a false ceiling.

A beautifully styled passage view that offers a sense of calm continuity. The soft interplay of light across the muted walls enhances the sense of space.

Botanical printed sheers were opted for the common space with a strict "NO" for curtains as we wanted the entire space to be well lit.

The Master Suite also encompasses a camouflaged paneling set up that conceals both the bathroom door and the walk - in closet door with an Aztec inspired boho pattern running across the entire length of the wall. They were carefully designed in such a manner to hide the joints perfectly. The muted tone was incorporated so that it forms a calm backdrop to strong profile in the foreground.

The curtains were also thoughtfully curated in such a way that it directs to the bold silhouettes in the room.

The diamond printed curtains with a black jute textured strip was a well thought of decision that seamlessly binds all the elements in the room .

This space was envisioned to be an effortless breathable sanctuary. The lived-in quality was very much intentional, celebrating real life over perfection. It invites you to unwind, to be present.

Every object was chosen with care, allowing the client’s interests and memories to take center stage.
